From August 15 to 22, 2024, the EMC Entrepreneurial Movement Club in Maribor hosted an international Erasmus+ training event aimed at youth work development, co-funded by Slovenia’s national Erasmus+ agency, Movit. The Erasmus+ program project, Youth Worker Mobility, titled “Entreception 2.0,” brought together teachers and youth workers from Slovenia, Turkey, Serbia, and Poland for eight days of intensive training, practical workshops, and rich intercultural learning exchange. The program was a key part of the Erasmus+ Entreception 2.0 project, aimed at empowering youth workers and teachers to assist young people in integrating into entrepreneurship and career guidance through a solution-focused coaching method.
During the eight-day training, 15 youth workers and teachers from four different countries learned to use entrepreneurial tools and coaching methods to support young people in achieving their goals that they are already pracising in everytdays work with young people. The program included practical workshops where participants gained valuable experience applying these methods in their local environments through real-life examples and simulations. These skills are especially important in preventing social exclusion and helping young people become more active and confident in their career paths.
The international component of the training added further value by enabling participants to engage in broader intercultural exchange. Teachers and youth workers from different countries had the opportunity to share experiences and best practices.
At the conclusion of the training, participants created customized action plans based on the specific needs of their local communities. These plans, developed during the training, provide a clear structure and guidelines for future projects and initiatives that participants will implement in their countries.
The Erasmus+ Entreception 2.0 project represents an important step forward in empowering youth workers and teachers to effectively support young people in developing their potential and preventing social exclusion.
